A PSS/E-compatible KPG 193 test system for power system stability studies, including RAW files for power-flow analysis and DYR files for dynamic simulation.
KPG 193-extended is a PSS/E-compatible stability dataset built from the KPG 193 test system. With financial support from NEXT Group, it was developed by Prof. Sungyoon Song. For each hour of 2025, unit commitment (UC) is first solved to determine generator on/off states, followed by AC optimal power flow (AC-OPF) to establish the steady-state operating point.
The dataset covers all 8,760 hours of 2025, with one paired set of RAW and DYR files for each hour. These hourly snapshots enable stability studies across seasonal and daily operating conditions.

Power-flow recommendation — When solving the RAW cases in PSS/E, use of the Gauss–Seidel power-flow method is recommended.
RAW files — PSS/E steady-state case files containing network topology, equipment parameters, loads, and generator operating points for power-flow analysis and dynamic-simulation initialization.
DYR files — PSS/E dynamic model files paired with each RAW case for time-domain stability simulation.
