Renewable Capacity by Bus

The KPG 193 test system provides bus-level installed capacity for three renewable technologies: solar, wind, and hydro. These data are intended for studies that require realistic spatial and technological distribution of renewables across the Korean grid.

The system separates renewable capacity data (how much is installed) from renewable generation profiles (how much is produced each hour):

  1. Renewable capacity files define the Installed capacity at each bus
  2. Renewable profile files provide hourly Capacity factors (See Profiles & Time Series)
  3. Actual generation = Installed capacity × Capacity factor

Renewable Capacity Data

Each renewable capacity file lists the installed capacity at each bus for one technology type.
